Position Overview

As a Litigation Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in supporting our litigation team and ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes. Your organisation,, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will be essential in managing a variety of administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly organised and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings and meetings on behalf of Solicitors.
  • Assist with case management, including tracking deadlines, managing court filings, and maintaining the litigation calendar.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing legal representatives, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist Solicitors in trial preparation, including organising Court Bundles and coordinating with experts.
  • Manage Solciitors timekeeping and billing processes, including tracking billable hours and generating invoices.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.


  • GCSEs in ICT, English and other applicable subjects (additional legal secretary certification or associate degree preferred).
  • The ideal candidate will have had a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a legal secretary in a litigation practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting.
  • Proficient in using legal software and technology, including case management systems, e-filing platforms, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
